Off Camber Productions launches The GRiT EPIC – A gravel ride and mountain bike race in the Teanaway
Seattle, WA – May 15, 2022 – Off Camber Productions is announcing the launch of The GRiT EPIC, a gravel ride and mountain bike race in the Teanaway Wilderness. The GRiT will take place July 9 & 10, 2022, the first of an annual cycling event.
The GRiT EPIC will offer a weekend of cycling and community based out of Cle Elum and Roslyn, towns bordering the beautiful Teanaway Wilderness. Saturday’s events will include the Roslyn XC, a cross-country mountain bike race, starting and finishing in Roslyn. Following the race on Saturday, the Off Camber team will put on a party to bring the community together and celebrate with our riders. On Sunday, the Teanaway Gravel Ride will start and finish at the Dru Bru Brewery in Cle Elum.
“Our goal with The GRiT is to build an annual, destination event, drawing riders from around the country, to the communities of Cle Elum and Roslyn,” said Erik Olson, Race Director of The GRiT. “We believe the majesty of the Teanaway Wilderness will become a draw for riders everywhere looking for an adventure in the Pacific Northwest. We aspire that The GRiT becomes an event that supports the Cle Elum/Roslyn community every summer.”
Gravel riding has quickly become the fastest growing category in the cycling industry. The popularity is driven by cyclists who prefer riding uncrowded dirt, fire & logging roads, to busy, unsafe crowded streets. The Teanaway Gravel Ride will tap into the growing demand nationwide for gravel events, offering a brand-new course through a pristine wilderness.
The Roslyn XC race will follow popular mountain bike trails out of Roslyn, challenging riders with significant climbing ascents and thrilling, technical descents.
